Arts and Culture
Based loosely on the Bavarian performer Karl Valentin, art and culture are nice but they require a lot of work. Our law firm spares no effort for you when it comes to finding the best possible way to realise, exploit or protect your art or art work - be it in legal or commercial terms.
Art and culture are very diverse, and the legal requirements in these areas are just as differentiated: Even the Federal Constitutional Court regards the freedom of art as indefinable. In coyright law, the question of the originality of the work is judged according to the "principle of minimal innoviation" and with regard tho the questions whether the social charge of artists is payable or whether a reduced tax rate applies, different standards must be reinvested yet again. The concept of cultural goods is also gaining increasing (international) significance, e.g. according to the Cultural Proberty Transfer Act.
