Brien Dorenz

Founder and Senior Partner of DSR, Lawyer since 2000, activities focus on copyright, copyrights contracts, licence and employment law for companies, organisations and individuals of national and international film, television and music industry and the world of sports.

Lawyer Brien Dorenz studied law at the University of Cologne, where he worked as a research associate for two years. His specialisation in the field of media (TV, film, music) began with his job at Super RTL television and in the legal department of the TV Channel VOX. With his extensive industry knowledge of the TV and music business, Brien Dorenz contributed for five years in the law firm Schermann Westerhoff Strittmatter in Cologne. In early 2005, he founded the media law boutique Dorenz & Ströll in collaboration with lawyer Peter Ströll.

Since 2007, Brien Dorenz has worked as managing legal advisior of the association of Film and Television Actors (BFFS). He is also assessor in the county tribunal of the football circle of Cologne and Chairman of the Regional Court of the Squash National Association of Northrhine Westphalia. He is also a member of the German Association for Industrial Property and Copyright Law (GRUR) and a memeber fo the Association of Sports Law of the German Lawyers´Association.
